Meadow Meadow go for a ‘TwoTwo’

Words: Sam Geary

Meadow Meadow, the project of former Spring King King members, Peter Darlington and James Green, made their entrance early last month with 'Fireworks'. Now they share new single, ‘TwoTwo’, together with news that their eponymous debut EP is to be released on limited edition cassette and digitally on August 19.

Recorded remotely between Manchester and London, ‘TwoTwo’ is the perfect accompaniment to the hotter weather, with breezy melodies and warm piano chords.

“'TwoTwo' started life as a scratchy webcam recording of the piano chords which is still the base of the song," they explain. "We then added the drums, guitar and some percussion and from there the structure came together. Lyrically, 'TwoTwo' details lost friendships, different paths and anxiety about the future."

Give it a spin.
