Public Body hit out at monotony on new single 'Ask Me Later'

Words: Sam Geary

Brighton four-piece Public Body unveiled this new single 'Ask Me Later' last week. An acerbic assessment of workplace etiquette, the track follows previous 'Naughty On My Bike' and 'Presenteeism'.

Produced by guitarist Theo Verney (known for his production work for the likes of TRAAMS, Egyptian Blue, Home Counties), the post-punk 'Ask Me Later' finds Seb Gilmore scathing on monotony as he sings, “Morning meeting, weather update / Program shut down, let me out now”, before defeatedly bemoaning typical below-par remuneration, “Only 1% pay packet increase”.
