Sugarstone go back to the 80s for their synth pop bop

Words: Leah Raymond

Premiered by John Kennedy on Radio X, Manchester synth rockers Sugarstone unveil their electro 80s indebted new jam, ‘Angel Boy’.

Produced by the Sugar House team in St Helens, and released this week through Tri-Tone, the springy, new wave pop bop track carries an infectious groove with snappy synths and beats.

Lyrically, say the quartet, 'Angel Boy' references a “metaphorical reflection of a complicated, hectic, yet loving friendship.”
