London alt-rockers Revolvers follow up recent single 'True Love' with high tempo rocker 'Come Again', released on April 3, which was once again recorded at Kore Studios with producer George Apsion.

Who are you?

I'm James Thurling, lead singer and guitarist with Revolvers. And I am joined by Rhys Kibble (drums), Will Oliver (guitar/backing vocals), Steven Morrison (bass/backing vocals).

Tell us something about yourself and how you came to be where you are today.

Revolvers formed in late 2016, and we have been steadily developing a strong following with our infectious brand of 70s classic rock-inspired indie songs. Our first EP, 'Your Indie Heroes Will Betray You', was release in January last year, and received positive reviews. After this we went into record again at Kore Studios in June 2018 to produce four new songs which are being released this year. These songs were produced by George Apsion who has worked with numerous leading UK artists including White Lies and Sundara Karma. The first of this batch, 'True Love', was released in February and has garnered very positive reviews and was included on several popular streaming playlists including Spotify's influential Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds - Six String.

Give us an idea of your musical style and influences.

Revolvers are heavily inspired by classic rock acts such as The Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bowie whose stylings are fused with modern indie rock influences such as Catfish and the Bottlemen, Sticky Fingers, and Arctic Monkeys.

Explain the production and writing process behind your songs.

I write the songs and record them onto a demo which is then shared with the rest of the band. The group will then fine tune the song and arrangement during rehearsals to arrive at the finished product

Tell us a little about your new single.

Whereas our previous single 'True Love' was a more poignant, indie power-pop song, 'Come Again' reflects the band's heavier, classic and glam rock influences. It is a bass and drum-driven rocker with touches of psychedelic influence in the verses and in particular the lyrics. The lyrics touch on numerous modern and popular musical icons including references to The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Burt Bacharach and somewhat cheekily, American food concept Chuckee Cheese. There's a lyric video too here.

Can we catch up with you at any forthcoming live shows?

We are scheduled to play next on May 17 at London's 93 Feet East venue. Details of other gigs will be updated on the band's website shortly.

How's the the year looking, plans-wise?

We have two further singles due out between now and June. Apart from 'Come Again' and 'True Love', the band's major release will be a powerful rocker called 'Rubbing Shoulders With the Devil'. A promotional music video for this song is currently in production. The band will begin to increase its gigging schedule over the summer in and around London
