Today's Hot Track :: Young Aviators - Forward Thinking
Young Aviators, the Northern Irish indie trio now based in Glasgow, are set to release their debut album 'Self Help' in September.
Prior to that, the band are dropping 'Forward Thinking' as a single on July 15 thru Electric Honey Records. It is the first single to be taken from the debut album, recorded in Chem19 studios in Glasgow with producer Jamie Savage.
“'Forward Thinking' is a song about feeling trapped,” says singer/guitarist Declan McKay. “It was written in a time of personal anxiety and failure against a wider culture of failure and anxiety. It embraces the humour that comes from this despondency in its angry groove, barking vocals and chorus chant. It is an escape song.”
The band have previously released two singles on Electric Honey Records: 'The Question Is' and the insanely catchy single ‘Hollywood Won’t Feed The Kids’.
The band have the following live dates set up for August:
August 06 - Notting Hill Arts Club, London
August 07 - Seabright Arms, London
August 08 - The Horn, St Albans
August 10 - Boardmaster Festival, Cornwall
Young Aviators are: Declan McKay –guitar / vocals, Kyle Haughey –bass /vocals, John Markey –drums / vocals.
