First Listen :: Elle Mary & The Bad Men
Influenced by artists such as Little Wings, Bill Callahan, and Angel Olsen, Manchester's Elle Mary & The Bad Men play a haunting, dark brand of minimalist indie folk, an essence that is captured on their latest release, 'Ocean'.
An eerily haunting melancholic track, 'Ocean' is a song that, carried on the bass line, flows with a sense of ease and space, yet with an underlying tension as Elle seems to remember this isn't who she is, she "used to be the ocean."
Elle Mary & The Bad Men play The Eagle Inn, Manchester on December 2.
