James Morrison Marks Return With Fourth Album & November UK Tour
Words: Ellie Ward
After having once been at the forefront of singer/songwriter-guitarists, James Morrison has been away from the limelight for the last four years. Now he returns with his fourth studio album ‘Higher Than Here’, set for release on October 30 via Island Records.
Lead single, and album opener ‘Demons’ is a rousing track, written about resisting the little voices in your head trying to take you down. Morrison’s rich soulful vocal over a high pitched loop that altogether makes for a catchy track - and a welcome return.
In 2006, Rugby-born Morrison's debut single 'You Give Me Something' became a hit in Europe, Australia, and Japan, peaking in the top five in the UK. His debut album, 'Undiscovered', debuted at the top of the UK Albums Chart. In 2007 Morrison won the Brit Award for Best British Male.
James Morrison embarks on an eight date UK tour in November.
