Manchester’s Spring King hsve announced their signing to Island Records together with sharing their first new single for the label. ‘Rectifier’ was made digitally available yesterday with a physical 7” release set for March 25.
Recorded and produced by the band’s Tarek Musa, ‘Rectifier’ is darkly lyrical, and musically jumpy with a driving energy that typifies the band's style.
Musa has described the track as a tale of re-emergence: “It’s been thrown around yet still holding a direction which means you end where you were meant to. My mind sees the aftermath of a storm, maybe the end of an era, growing up, being a teenager and coming of age. Becoming someone else. Someone new.”
