Dreampop jangle surf debut from Newcastle quintet Seeing Hands, who sound more like they've been chilling on a Hawaiian beach with a few cocktails, more than hanging out quaffing pints on the Tyne.
'Treat You Right, digitally released on January 25, is an impressively polished start for the new outfit (who also produced the track), with an easy melodic retro style and some gorgeous guitar lines.
The band - who formed last year between vocalist/ guitarist Kev Curran, Nick Hodgson, lead guitar/ backing vocals, and Steven Gordon on keys - the latter two both with another Newcaste band, High Tide 15:47 - Jon Varty on bass, and Liam Guillan, drums - have yet to break their virgin status as far as gigs go, but watch out for their first set to take place in March, along with their debut EP also set for spring.
