SLOWLY SLOWLY - GOOD FRIENDS
Taken from the emo post-punk Melbourne duo's (Ben Stewart, Alex Quayle) debut album 'Chamomile' released last week. Don't be fooled by the low-key passages in this slow-builder track as they can get pretty caustic at times. Star rating: ★★★★☆
HALYCINE - ELIXIR
We featured Chloe Raynes here in June with 'Circles', now the Brooklyn-based, half-British artist is sharing another track from her debut five-track EP, 'In The Salt' out on August 12. A dark tale of infatuation, that lingers over echoing guitars and airy vocals. Star rating: ★★★★☆
HIGH VIOLET - GIVE IN
Follow-up to debut single 'Only Heart' from Sydney-based indie-pop quartet, produced and engineered by Woody Annison (Flyying Colours). Dulcet vocalled dreampop with a psychedelic/garage-rock edge.
