Jitterz are two young ladies from Leicester who have just released their debut single 'One Good Song' and video.
The two, Beth Morris on vocals and guitar, and Jamie Brown, drums, who describe themselves as "the uncoolest band you'll ever meet", exude a punk DIY energy along with a rock 'n' roll edge, wrapped in fuzzy distortion on 'One Good Song'- and a sense of fun, judging by their video clip.
Yet underneath, the song's lyrics belie its more carefree top coating as they talk of how, "One good song could be my way out of here", and "Here we've got no galleries / Here we've got no Greek beauties / All we've got is supermarkets and free time / Here we've got no fine red wines / All we've got is parking fines." Since the girls have now caught the ears of local BBC Introducing it could well mean the start of their 'way out'.
