[Video] Catholic Action - Rita Ora
Words: Sam Geary
On the rise Glaswegian outfit Catholic Action are streaming the new video to their latest single ‘Rita Ora’, which features hundreds of amateur drawings of the singer and former X Factor judge herself.
Video director explains Ciaran Lyons says: “The idea for the video was to spam sites like Gumtree and Craigslist all over the world with ads asking for drawings of Rita Ora, and just see what came back. Good or bad, we'd just include all the drawings in the video.”
Singer/guitarist Chris McCrory says he didn’t set out to write a song specifically about Ora, but after jamming the song with the rest of the band, found that her name had a certain “musicality” to it. The track managed to reach the ears of the song's namesake who tweeted “Best song I’ve ever heard”!
Cheeky minx!
‘Rita Ora’/’Breakfast’ is available on 7” vinyl now via Luv Luv Luv Records.
