Introducing :: Silver Wilson

Words: Sam Geary

Nottingham/Leeds three-piece music college students Silver Wilson started out in 2015, revealing their first track 'George Town' towards the end of the year.

Playing Y Not, Tramlines and Dot to Dot festivals this year, the band have begun to pick up a reputation for creating catchy pop hooks and melodies, as heard on the jangly refrain of 'I'll Be There'.

Their newest self-recorded second single ‘Fool’ was released back in late November, which, declares bassist Elliot Labbate, "is definitely our best". We agree. Filled with infectious rhythms and their trademark jangle essence it's looking like there's a good 2017 ahead for this young band.

Silver Wilson play the Lending Room at The Library, Leeds on February 1 2017.

Silver Wilson are: Brandon Hill - vocals, guitar; Elliot Labbate - bass, backing vocals; Tom Girling - drums, backing vocals.
