Continuing to prove that Australasia is an indomitable powerhouse of indie, Letters to Lions are ruling on this new single 'Come Around', out now via Code One Recordings.
The Sydney quartet sound pretty anthemic as they bring out their Foals/Last Dinosaurs influenced melodic guitars and striking synths, with Adam Newling's vocals reaching addictive perfection on the chorus on this number which is set to feature on their forthcoming Lachlan Mitchell-produced 'Grays Point' EP, the follow-up to 2015's 'Clean Eating'.
“We went out with ‘Come Around’ as our first single for the record as it’s the most upbeat and driven of the songs," say the band. "It’s a feel-good song about life change and the anxiety that accompanies it. We were all living together in a house at the time experiencing some pretty heavy life circumstances, the general vibe of the song is about overcoming adversity and clawing our way out of the hole we had dug.”
And watch out UK - or Wales at least, for now - Letters to Lions are set to play at Wrexham's Focus Wales festival on May 10 2018.
Letters to Lions are: Adam Newling - vocals, guitar; Joel Osborn - vocals, guitar; Jackson Kent - bass; Curtis Newbitt Hill - drums.
