Walsall's The Assist stream new four-track EP 'Lost'

Words: Izzy Butler

'Lost' is the new four-track EP from Walsall indies The Assist, released last Friday (August 31).

“The songs are about personal experiences that offer a guiding hand in an often very complex society, a reassurance that it’s okay to not be okay. And to never stop doing what you love," says frontman Mikey Stanton.

Already rising up the iTunes chart, the EP opens on 'Love', an early track from the band going back to 2015, followed by the alt-Britpop swagger of 'All That I Need', another pre-loved number that came our way back in June, an infectious banger with big chorus. They are joined by two new tracks, the catchy 'Exist', and the toned down 'Hung Up'.

The Assist play Sheffield's Cafe Totem on September 13, followed by The Hummingbird in Wolverhampton on 15th.
