Leeds-based Jellyskin - who Little Indie first heard back in 2016 with 'Grey Glass Hat' - have shared new single ‘Mountain’ – the first taste of new music from the duo, Zia Larty-Healy and Will Ainsley.
Blending often abrasive electronic beats, lush vocal harmonies, spiky guitar lines, and striking synthesizer, “When writing 'Mountain', we bastardised a few select drum samples from noises we'd recorded ourselves or drum machine WAVs we'd found online," explains Will. "We constructed most of the percussive elements from there through distortion in its varying forms. Among other things, we were listening to artists like Perc, Autechre, and Sophie at the time of writing and producing which could explain some of the cold, regimented feel of the track's percussion."
