The Great Escape partners up with Oz for 2019 - and we're stoked!

Words: Linn Branson

Little Indie has regularly - weekly - championed the Australian and New Zealand music scene for a few years now; in fact, we often jest that maybe we should change our name to Little Aussie Blogs!

So naturally we are super stoked to hear The Great Escape has announced the land of barbies, tinnies, Neighbours and a whole host of amazing acts, will be its “lead country partner” for 2019's edition down in Brighton between May 8 - 11.

The partnership with Australia will showcase the best emerging talent they have to offer in front of industry professionals and music lovers to celebrate SOUNDS AUSTRALIA’s 10th Year of Exporting Australian Music to the UK.

Today the festival announces its first wave of up and coming Aussie acts to play the 2019 festival which include indie folk threesome Sons of the East, grunge rock band Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, soul singer songwriter Allysha Joy, tiresome punk trio Cable Ties, scuzz girl band Body Type, alternative rock foursome Tropical Fuck Storm and four-piece punk outfit These New South Whales. These join the already announced Jeffe and Emerson Snowe who were part of this years FIRST FIFTY live shows in London.
