Listen :: Another Sky - The Cracks
Words: Ellie Ward
'The Cracks' is the second track to come from Another Sky's incoming EP, 'Life Was Coming In Through The Blinds',' released on June 14 via Fiction Records - and a rather fine one it is too.
The atmospheric song, which was premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show and follows previous single 'Apple Tree', comes as the quartet head into a busy summer and prepare for their biggest headline show to date at London's Village Underground on September 24.
"The song is an ode to our generation, one that is more self-aware and being forced to have the difficult conversations that lead to progress and evolution," says vocalist Catrin Vincent. "It’s inspired by the little girl fined by the council for setting up a lemonade stall, the kids suing the US government for global warming, teenagers like Greta Thunberg. It’s about our generation’s unique position of facing extinction.”
