BLUE VELVET - IT'S ALL GRAVY

Sydney-based indie-punk trio follow up on March's 'Soggy Cereal' with jaunty, light-hearted sequel. "'It’s All Gravy' is a reflection of my weird, morbid curiosity around conspiracy theorists and alien hunters who live inside their own bubble," says frontman Samuel Bauermeister. "I’ve always been fascinated about what goes on in their heads and wanted to try and live vicariously through them. It’s a song about living inside your own thoughts and filtering out all the other noise around you and being so adamant you’ve been right all along."

QUINN - COAST

Taken from her forthcoming debut EP, the latest single from Illawarra artist Ness Quinn is an electronic indie pop anthem for those who feel like they constantly fly under the radar. “You never see me rise you never see me fall, I just coast”, she sings. "'Coast' was written about getting to a point in your life where you feel like everyone is overtaking you."

AUTOSUGGEST - IN TRUTH

The music project of Sydney’s Alec Mallia - who we featured back in February with 'Graphic' - follows debut album 'Tame Harm' with this new, self-produced three and a half minute single. Combining dark, electronic layers with a post-punk edge, Mallia's vocal adds a satisfying magical touch. Catch live at The Chippo, Sydney on October 11.

We first heard the Wellington-via-Palmerston North, NZ electronic duo, Shannen Petersen and Fraser Williams (of Fruit Juice Parade and First Move), a few weeks ago with their titular single, now they unveil this second track from their incoming self-titled EP, out October 18 via Papaiti Records. Lightly dream-pop tinged, with Petersen’s vocals soaring over atmospheric guitar and synth. Catch live on October 4 at San Fran, Wellington.
