Primavera Sound shapes up for a big 21st edition 2021




As with every other festival this year,
Barcelona’s Primavera Sound was shaping up nicely for a 20th anniversary summer event, until a virus came along and put all plans to one side.

Now the festival is looking ahead to a big  21st celebration next year, between June 2-6.

Along with acts that were due to play this year, Primavera Sound 2021 had also announced some fresh acts on the bill.

The line-up so far includes Pavement, Bikini Kill, the Strokes, The National, Tyler, The Creator, Iggy Pop, Brockhampton, King Krule, 100 gecs, Dinosaur Jr., Chromatics, Bauhaus, Jenny Hval, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Rina Sawayama, DIIV, Fontaines D.C., Jehnny Beth, Little Simz, Black Midi, Shame, Mabel, Black Lips, Faye Webster, Cigarettes After Sex, and more.

Among the new joiners are Tame Impala, FKA twigs, Gorillaz, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Jamie xx, Charli XCX, Jorja Smith, IDLES, DJ Shadow, Tim Burgess, and Metronomy.

All tickets purchased for the 2020 festival remain valid for 2021. New tickets for the 2021 festival will go on sale on June 3.
