Produced once again by Catholic Action’s Chris McCrory, Cheap Teeth bite back after their recent 'The Wind and The Rain' with ‘Belly of the Beast’.
Released last week, the Edinburgh quartet's latest punk-rock scorcher - another from their forthcoming EP 'Give Me More Show Me Less' - showcases the inimitable vocal delivery of frontman Joe Laycock. Veering from a sardonic snarl to a theatrical howl, it dominates the three minute proceedings with arch aplomb that is as hard to ignore, as it is potent and exciting. Add to the mix the sharp basslines, skulking guitar riffs and propulsive array of drum hits, and you have a dynamic of riveting intent - and a band cutting their infant teeth very nicely indeed.
