Brighton indie art rockers Youth Sector follow up ‘No Fanfare’, released earlier this year, with a new single of zeal and creative energy.
'Real Estate’, out today, like its predecessor comes from Youth Sector’s debut EP ‘Mundanity’, set for release on July 17 via Young Poet Records.
The track sees them fusing angular hooky guitars with 80s-esque synths for an upbeat three and a half minutes that lyrically taps into everyday lives of work and house moves. in a way similar to last summer's 'Renting Spaces In My World', where they opined how they had "bought a house but the front door is missing".
“At the stage we are all at in our lives, we have flown the nest of university/education and its lovely, reliable structure; and the space we've found ourselves in now is one of new responsibilities, day jobs and house moves," states frontman Nick Tompkins.
"The EP reflects feelings, thoughts and ideas that come with the everyday reality we all share at this point in our lives, for instance the somewhat comedic woes of trying to find an affordable house to rent that isn't falling apart at the seams.”
