"Here's a song for walking alone," is how Los Angeles-via-New York songstress Helen Ballentine, aka Skullcrusher, describes new track, 'Song For Nick Drake'.
Out now via Secretly Canadian, the engaging acoustic song - which follows last summer's self-titled debut EP - she says, is "about my relationship to the music of Nick Drake. It recalls moments in my life that are viscerally intertwined with his music, specifically times spent walking and taking the train. The song is really my homage to music and the times I felt most immersed in it.”
Skullcrusher is due to take part in this September's End of the Road Festival in the UK.
