Eyes On Film release a new single 'Waking Up Dead' through MI7 Records on May 6. The single will be available as an iTunes download and features a guest appearance from Carl Barât (The Libertines/Dirty Pretty Things).
The single was produced by Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream/Manic Street Preachers/Kasabian), mixed by Cenzo Townsend (Florence & The Machine/Vaccines/Horrors) and recorded at Metropolis & MI7 Studios in Acton. A video for 'Waking Up Dead', by award wining director Ryan Andrews (‘Elfie Hopkins’), is based on the opening scene of the cult 1983 British horror film The Hunger. You can watch the video below.
'Waking Up Dead' is the follow-up to the bands acclaimed debut EP 'Something Wicked (This Way Comes)' which led the NME to rave ‘a formidable prospect for a new troupe of left-of-centre heroes’ and Q to enthuse “the band soar with a compelling blend of grungey rock meets electro.”
To celebrate the release of the single the band will be playing a one-off Mayday show at London’s Seabright Arms - Wednesday May 1. More dates will be added shortly.
