[Video] Agnes Obel - The Curse

Watch ‘The Curse’ abov, the video to the beautiful new single from Agnes Obel.

The track is the first to be taken from her second album ‘Aventine’, which is released on September 30 via Play It Again Sam. The digital download of ‘The Curse’ is available now, with a 10 inch vinyl single released on September 2.

‘Aventine’ is the follow up to Agnes Obel’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Philharmonics’ (2010), which sold 450,000 copies across Europe, achieving Platinum status in France and Belgium, Gold in Netherlands, as well five times Platinum in her native Denmark, where Agnes picked up five Danish Music Awards (the Danish Brits) in 2011.

Originally from Copenhagen, Agnes has lived in Berlin since 2006, where ‘Aventine’ was recorded at Chalk Wood Studios between January and May this year. Like ‘Philharmonics’, the new album was written, arranged, and produced by Agnes, who provides piano and vocals.

Agnes Obel will play an invite only gig at St Pancras Church on September 4 and will also be appearing at iTunes Festival at The Roundhouse on September 17, supporting Ludovico Einaudi. She will then return to the UK in October as part of her European tour:
