Joel Hood is a 28-year-old musician based in a small town in the north of England. Whilst he can dabble at piano and drums, he is, "basically rubbish on guitar, which is probably why my music has a mostly electronic feel to it". Which may be to the good seeing as how he has just put out a new track, 'Follow The Fool', which certainly is of the latter genre. He may also describe his sound as ‘not very danceable dance music’, but 'Follow The Fool' certainly has one hell of a catchy beat to it - impossible to sit still to. Opening on sampled voices and telephone rings, it swells dreamily out into a soulful, melodic tune with some wonderful chunky beats.
Still as yet to make his live debut, he has, however, worked on some pretty decent remixes for Tythe amonst others. "That came about after we started checking out each others tunes on Soundcloud. He used one of my tracks in one of his mixes, and then asked if I would like to remix a track from his debut album, 'And Also With You'. We then did some DJing together. I also discovered that he's a very lovely chap in real life."
