Brighton four-piece The Magic Gang have released a new track, 'Shallow'.
Following last year's debut with 'Bruises', the quartet now come back with a precisely pieced slice of psychedelic power pop in this laytest offering. Taken from their recent recording session with MJ of Hookworms, 'Shallow's wilting guitar lines interlock to form a beautifully kaleidoscopic tunnel towards the song's triumphant chorus. If you can get past the first 30 seconds, you could find a grower on your hands.
The Magic Gang support Swim Deep for their The Fly Awards show at The Ritz in Manchester on February 1, and the NME Awards show at London's KOKO on February 17.
