Darlia Continue Sweet Success With 'Candyman'

Darlia spare no time after the success of their debut EP 'Queen Of Hearts', and now stop a new EP, 'Candyman', on March 31 thru B-Unique Records.

Already being touted last week by Zane Lowe in Radio 1 as his 'Hottest Record In The World', these latest three tracks continue in the vein of fizzing, explosive guitar rock. Lead track 'Candyman' is ripe scuzzy grunge, with vocalist Nathan Day stamping his distinctive howls on proceedings.

"Music is a bit like a card trick," he says. "You can make flames shoot from your hands or pull doves from a hat, but it's just a gimmick. Everyone knows it's a trick and they soon get bored of it. I prefer those simple close-up tricks that maybe aren't as flashy, but they're harder to do and keep people interested for much longer."

There's no doubt Darlia are pulling an attentive audience right now. Despite being together less than a year, they have already toured the country three times, released their first EP, and have enough material to fill the first three albums.

EP Tracklisting: 'Candyman', 'Animal Kingdom', 'Blood Money'.

March 31. The Cellar, Oxford
