First Listen :: The Mouth Of Ghosts

London-based five-piece The Mouth Of Ghosts have just released their second EP, 'You Will Go Again From Me', on March 16 via iTunes and Bandcamp.

The band's - who released their debut single 'When The Sun Sets' in October 2012 - founding band members Simon Langford (guitar) and Marco Italia (bass) met Alla Seydalieva in 2011, matching her powerful, yet sensual, vocals with ragged guitar and dark grooves. Drummer Phil Page joined the trio later that year and in 2012, Valerie Deniz (vocals, synth) completed the line-up bringing the alt-rock with trip-hop styling band up to five in number.

All 23-minutes' worth of 'You Will Go From Me'  present a variety of synth textured sounds, with opener 'Wrong' taking a more distinctly trippy groove, whilst a 'Winter’s Song' sees Alla's haunting vocals unveiled in vulnerable stark contrast. 'Right On Time' is a return to a sassier, sexy side of the band, before concluding on 'You Will Go' to close the EP with a dark flourish.
