Ballerina Black Head For UK In May With New Single

Way back in July 2012, LA-based four-piece Ballerina Black featured in our hot top ten with 'NTSB'; 'Birth Of A Felony' doing likewise seven months later - around the same time as they brought out their self-released 'Injureless' EP (see our review here ).

Their dark post-punk sound encapsulates an eclectic mix of 80s inspired synth hooks, ephemeral vocals and chunky bass lines that blend together to create something darkly atmospheric and strangely uplifting; scooping up elements of electro-pop such as the likes of Depeche Mode would not be averse to, into the bargain.

New single 'Brixton Rain' is out on May 5, and to coincide with the release Ballerina Black head over to the UK for their debut tour.

Catch them live at the following:

May 07 - Bannermans, Edinburgh
May 08 - Santiago Bar, Leeds
May 09 - Camden Barfly, London
May 10 - Water Rats, London
May 12 - Kasbah, Coventry
May 15 - Dempseys, Cardiff
May 16 - Zanzibar, Liverpool
May 17 - The Roadhouse, Manchester
