Tijuana Bibles Do Toledo Download

Glasgow four-piece Tijuana Bibles, with a name like that should really have dropped forthcoming single 'Crucifixion' at Easter, even in the likelihood of offending every good Christian bible beater. As it is, that is now released on June 14.

In the meantime they are offering their first free download, 'Toledo'. Check out the track below. 'Toledo' is a Cajun-fried piece of bluesy bar rock, leading with a steady hypnotic bass line before the track descends into a hyperactive adrenaline-fuelled barrage.

Born and bred in Glasgow, but with more in common with the swampy blues of Louisiana, Tijuana Bibles are a mix of grungy sludge-based riffs and groove-laden rhythms. Fresh off their debut EP 'Wild River', 2014 has already seen the band sell out King Tut's legendary New Year's bash The New Year's Revolution, support Deap Valley and win a nomination for ‘Best New Act’ at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

‘Toledo’ is available now as a free download exclusively from www.tijuanabibles.co.uk.
