Listen :: Clubs
Clubs, from Leicester, aren't strictly new (formed in 2012), and although they seem to keep a low media presence, they have been both seen and heard around including at events like Liverpool Sound City, as well as playing the Isle of Wight festival today (June 14), and have released several tracks prior to their latest 'Hot Hands, Cold Feet', including an EP 'Velvet' (which no longer appears to be around), and opened shows for the likes of Jaws and Splashh. You may also have come across them in their former guise of Panda Youth.
Previously unveiling 'Bleed' - a 'heavy pop' track as they describe it - the five-piece now unveil the second track from their forthcoming EP. 'Hot Hands, Cold Feet' was recorded at Foals’ studio in Oxford with Kit Monteith of Trophy Wife, and is another four-minute journey that touches on, in PR speak, "opiate moments and cacophonous crescendos alike."
Listen to the track below.
Clubs are set to play a number of live dates over the next months. Confirmed so far:
June 14. Isle of Wight Festival
June 22. Lainfest, Leics
July 24. The Garage, London
Clubs are: CJ Pandit (vocals/guitar), Dan Balment (guitar), Joe Phelan (guitar/backing vocals), Ben Mason (bass), Chris Cox (drums).
