Track Of The Day :: Gazar Strips - Bee Mantis

Never ones here at Little Indie to turn our noses up or pull earbuds out on a bit of psych, we came by this Australian trio on writing something else, and on finding this particular track is their new second EP single and they have a gloriously dark gothic video to go with it, well, how could we resist.

'Bee Mantis' is the kind of hypnotically drone-like five-minute affair that one could easily imagine coming off a Faux Discx product; instead the Brisbane three's only link may be that they honed their sound upon meeting in the dark environs of Whitechapel, east London - before buggering off back home to Brisbane and leaving us with just our imaginations to ponder on what this track could be like played live in the Shacky Arms.

Play this now (several times, is our recommendation) - then check out the full 'Sparkling' EP from whence it came, which is out now on Sonic Masala Records.
