You can't help thinking Coronation Street and David Platt on hearing the term “Rat Boy”. However, on this occasion it actually pertains to the name of one 18-year-old solo artist from Essex, Jordan Cardy.
Having just put out a five-track 'Mixtape' - with an official debut EP in the offing - he is certainly picking up interest for his old skill style hip hop and edgy punk street prose that conjure up a combination somewhere between iTch, The Streets and Only Real, with the added benefit of some raw guitar riffs and electronic beats.
