Lostprophets Members Form No Devotion

The five former members of Lostprophets, left rudderless when frontman Ian Watkins was sentenced to 35 years in jail for child sex offences last December.

Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Stuart Richardson, Jamie Oliver and Luke Johnson have now taken on former Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly as vocalist and unveiled one of the new songs they have been working on in the last months, 'Stay', as the debut single of the now named No Devotion.

A press release issued in relation to their new project reads: “Harshly uprooted from their settled lives and careers, (the bandmates’) own notions of trust and betrayal tested beyond measure, there was never going to be an ending in which everything could simply go back to where it was before.”

Speaking of the consequences of Watkins' deeds, and their determination to carry on, Richardson said: "We didn't know if we would ever make music again, if people would look us in the face. Everything felt like it was over. We didn't know what else to do. We just wrote music. I didn't know if anyone ever would hear it. I just needed to occupy my brain. We just needed this."

'Stay' is released on July 21 thru Collect Records.

No Devotion have confirmed four live dates to coincide with the release:

July 22 - Cardiff, CF10
July 23 - Manchester, Sound Control
July 25 - London, O2 Islington Academy
July 26 - Glasgow, O2 ABC2
