Watch :: Twin Peaks - Flavor
US psych-garage band Twin Peaks unveil their video for 'Flavor'. Two minutes of brews, swimming pools and BBQ's is the flavour of the title track of their first UK EP which is out via National Anthem on July 7. The EP features 'Flavor' plus 3 tracks from their debut 2013 US LP 'Sunken'.
The single also appears on the band's forthcoming new album, 'Wild Onion', due for release in the UK later this year.
The Twin Peaks foursome - vocalist Cadien Lake James, guitarist Clay Frankel, bassist Jack Dolan and drummer Connor Brodner - are all barely 20 years old, but their modern day Nuggets sound is imbued with the spirit of garage demigods Black Lips, Ty Segall, and Thee Oh Sees. There's subtle nods to the likes of Tame Impala, The Pixies, and the classic guitar-guided pop music of old.
Having quickly cut their debut LP in Cadien's basement so they could sell it on tour, the band was excited to spend more time developing a new record, and it's one that reveals a level of maturity beyond all the amp-singeing solos, ragtag rhythms and dizzying voices of three distinct singer-songwriters.
