Melbourne indie poppers The Ocean Party are definitely getting their feet wet with their latest offering 'Wading In'.
Making their debut in 2011 with their 'Deadbeat' single, through to the 2012 album 'The Sun Rolled Off The Hills', followed by 'Social Clubs', the five-piece originally from Wagga Wagga now prepare for their next full-length with this first taster.
Like their sunshine-filled home country, 'Wading In' shimmers with slinky guitar riffs and slacker vocal that adds the right amount of rawness to keep it sliding off course. Picking up echoes of the Bunnymen’s 'The Killing Moon' on its opening, it draws you in when you least expect it.
What can I say, but that I'm hooked!
