Track Of The Day :: Viola Dust - You're Mine

Their debut 'The Big Hop' back in June caught our attention, and now Newry five-piece Viola Dust are back with a fresh track - 'You're Mine'.

Just as infectious as its predecessor, if not more so, the change in their follow-up offering being it less synth focussed, instead opting for a falsetto vocal by Gerard Sands that will have many crossing their legs no doubt. He may be taller than the miniscule Prince, but this could easily have come from the latter's stable in its more R&B approach.

We said previously that it would be interesting to hear what this band brought out next, and 'You're Mine' is no disappointment.

Viola Dust sprung out of the ashes of Elspeth, a five-piece alt rock band formed by brothers Gerard and Leo Sands in 2011. The outfit released one album 'Coax' in May 2012 and one single, '24hr Paramedics' in July of the same year - as well as live supports to Clock Opera, Spector and Cashier No.9 amongst others. After seemingly opting for a change of name and image, and bringing in a new drummer, Viola Dust rose up at the start of this year.
