The new single from Apes, the Melbourne garage rockers we featured here in July, now unveil new single 'Strange Tastes'.
Where previous track 'Pull The Trigger' left off, both powerful and dynamic, 'Strange Tastes' is built from sensual grooves - stitched together with a fiery, and fuzzy chorus. Frontman Ben Dowd's imploring vocal delivery through the chorus is offset by a yearning, very impressive falsetto through the verses. Apes know exactly when to explode and when to reel it back in, and the end result, is a gritty and irresistible brand of bluesy garage rock, that no doubt has the quality to sit alongside the finest.
