Velvet Morning are set to release their new single ‘Green Whale' (backed with ‘Pig Scene') ,on September 28 via RIP Records.

Initially the project of Essex lad Samuel Jones, after two impressive dark and lysergic studio albums, he has broadened out to become a 'they' rather than just a solo 'he'. Taking inspiration from rhythm and blues, shoegaze and psychedelic bands of the last 50 years, Samuel brings to Velvet Morning an ever-increasing hypnotism and layering of precisely thought out guitar sounds matched with the smooth grooves of the rhythm section.

The shoegaze-esque of 'Green Whale', which fades in and out, and out and in, weaving atmospheric psych into a swelling mass of hallucinogenic sound.
