Watch :: Copenhagen's Shiny Darkly Revealing Their 'Soft Skin'
It's almost two years ago since we first wrote about Copenhagen’s Shiny Darkly and the mighty first taste we had of them with 'Diana'. Now the Danish three-piece have unveiled the new video for their debut UK single ‘Soft Skin’, released on October 6 via Crunchy Frog Records.
Read our 9/10 review of 'Soft Skin' here.
The video provides the perfect accompaniment to the dark drama of the track which typifies Shiny Darkly’s brand of psych-indebted post-punk takes discordant guitar stabs and synth drones with nightmarishly catchy choruses.
Directed by Frederik Valentin, who has made videos for Lust for Youth and his own act Complicated Universal Cum, the video takes its inspiration from an old photograph of legendary band The Stranglers, whilst making references to images from rock’n’roll history, including the iconic Sticky Fingers front cover and Thin White Duke era Bowie.
‘Soft Skin’ is the first track to be taken from the band’s debut album 'Little Earth', due for release in 2015.
