Formed early this year, Lull are a North London four-piece who met after responding to internet ads last Christmas for musicians to form a band.
After writing and rehearsing a few songs in early spring, a delay in plans then ensues when the vocalist departs for Hong Kong, and the drummer is back in his native Portugal; by mid September all are back in London to pick up where they left off.
Now they are ready to make their debut with a two-track digital self-release EP, 'Henbane' on November 17. 'Dead or Alone' and 'Break Hearts' both draw loosely on influences like early Smashing Pumpkins, Ride and Slowdive, and My Bloody Valentine. In part, both tracks range across a sonic palette of squally shoegaze guitars, juxtaposed with a lo-intensity vocal.
Lull play their debut live show at The Finsbury, London (for Lost in the Manor) on November 1, followed by The Silver Bullet, London on December 13.
