"It's not alright/it's not okay/but they say it doesn't matter anyway"
Back in August of last year we said the four-piece Brum band Curb were
Persistence looks like it is paying off for they have now turned out a seven-minute track that has made the wait more than worthwhile.
Following the release of 'So High' at the start of this year - see Track Of The Day - this latest is something of a change in sound - not to mention length. Instead of "zoning out" as we did (lyrically) with the previous number, here on 'Communication' while still retaining the laid-back esouciance of Tom O'Ryan's vocals and the wall-to-wall guitar blasts and the steady solid drums at the back, there's a distinct progression in chord structure and melody that up this - particularly the fairly epic last 90 seconds or so - to another level.
We believe there's an abridged radio edit of 'Communication' around, but any show not playing the full length version will be doing themselves and their listeners an injustice.
