Doing what the Scandinavians seem to do so well, hang icy glacialness over dark beats and seductive vocals, comes Stockholm-based The Hanged Man, the project of Rebecka Rolfart - formerly of Those Dancing Days and Vulkano.
'Into The Night' is the lead single from the upcoming debut six-track mini-album 'First Quarter Moon' which is out next month.
Taking inspiration from "dark places like forests, skies and seas ...It is in those places the soul gets room to shout out its need for affirmation. Places where darkness becomes a light", 'Into The Night' is filled with a cinematic quality of echoing synths, eerie atmospherics and the vocals of Rolfart adding an overlay of smoothness to the shades of darkness swimming under the exterior.
The Hanged Man are: Rebecka Rolfart - guitar/vocals; Mattias Gustavsson - bass/backing vocals; Anna Myrsten - keyboard/percussion/backing vocals; Dennis Egberth - drums; Elias Jungqvist - keyboard/backing vocals.
'First Quarter Moon' is released on November 10 via Kning Disk / Telegram Studios.
