Official first single release from Danish outfit Mont Oliver (but check out earlier track 'White Sheets' here too), '19', is not, in case you were wondering, a cover of Paul Hardcastle's 'N-n-n-nineteen', but a fresh trip hop debut from new Copenhagen threesome.
Jakob Hammershøj, Niels Christian Sommer and Mads Bernt Pedersen have unveiled the song - which is available to stream and download for free on Soundcloud - as the titular track from their EP released on November 17 via Danish label Fake Diamond Records. This seems to be a fresh release for '19' which was first heard earlier in the year. Watch the band performing it for Musik TV here.
Fusing electronic elements of trip-hop, hip-hop and mixing in percussion, slinky synths and some weighty bass along with singer Jacob's distinctive vocals, they have a slight fragrance of fellow Danes Efterklang about them.
