Garage rock duo Fat Heaven hail from New York City and are another of the ever-growing number of male/female collaborations that have risen up over the last couple of years.
With Fat Heaven we have vocalist / guitarist Travis Yablon, with Gayla Brooks on drums. After having met at school, the two began jamming and writing songs together, with built around artists such as The Misfits and Fidlar.
Their debut track, 'Liar and a Thief', is a meaty, beaty just under three minutes of catchy hooks and toe-tapping rhythms, plus a nifty guitar riff or two.
The pair are currently in the middle of recording four new songs for their first EP, which they hope should sed the light of day by the end of this month.
