Pink Murder is a collaborative project between Philadelphia/New York-based musicians Jen Pague from Vita and the Woolf, Gregory Free from Folding Legs, and Mike Panico from Stargazy - the latter band whom we have featured here several times (and in their former Fishdoctor guise).
About to release their second single - following the summer release of 'Fresh and Made') - 'Set Her Free', we are not quite sure what or who a 'Pink Murder' is, but as far as this track goes, it sure hits the mark.
Fresh and funky vibes, surfy guitars, and a quasi-jazzy/tropical groove, it's the perfect sun-ripened antidote to the now grey and cold British weather. Think pink. Get up, get dancing.
And as for Pink Murder.... "Ask Mac Demarco, he knows the answer to this," Mike Panico cryptically responds when asked. Anyone got his number?
