It was a case of love at first hearing when coming London's Liu Bei early last summer (see here) and their stunning single 'Infatuation', which was followed up by an equally stunning cinematic quality video (view here).
For their latest work, 'Fields' - taken from Liu Bei 's upcoming 'Goodness' EP out on February 2 via Museumgoer - they have once again produced a film accompaniment to augment the cool beauty of the track - which features Rachel Goswell of Slowdive, on backing vocals.
This melancholic "paean to teenage small-town living, love and the urge to escape," with its black-and-white visuals by COOPER, is a dark and sombre journey, both in the promo film as much as in Rich Walters once again tugging on the heartstrings vocally, as a string section and synths provide the atmospherically ambient backing.
