Berlin-based French producer Erwan Castex, aka Rone, releases his third album 'Creatures' next week, and from it comes 'Sir Orfeo'.
The track, a collaboration with Monteal-based artist Sea Oleena - Charlotte Loseth - takes its title from an ancient Middle English narrative poem derived from the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice.
Filled with lushly worked synths, 'Sir Orfeo' allows Oleena’s vocals to filter through in in delicately balanced undertones as the slow-build track picks up pace midway through its five minutes; the reverberant synths and keyboards providing Rone and Oleena with the perfect emotional alliance.
