Just over 19 minutes-worth of five tracks on this debut EP, 'Alive At Best', released last week from Brisbane indie quartet Lucha Libre.
Now, if you happen not to be Australasia-based you may not have come upon this band who premiered the first single from the EP -'Backstreets' - last month, despite their having been around for a few years now (almost three). Their stirring alt-rock style (think Bombay Bicycle Club), however, is immensely listenable, and there is some really competent work here, with plenty of striking guitars and forceful drums.
EP highlights: 'Back And Forth', 'Faces'.
